RIO Premier Gold

STANDARD WEIGHT / STANDARD POWER

Primary: Small Dry / Dry Dropper
Secondary: Big Dry / Light Indicator

RIO GOLD’s longer head and lighter weight, compared to its XP and MAX counterparts, make it our best all-around trout taper for carrying long, precise casts. At standard weight with a mid-length 5-foot 6-inch front taper (WF5F) for soft presentations, RIO GOLD delivers flies with delicacy and finesse, making it perfect for anglers who rig with dry-fly intent then switch to droppers and light indicators as conditions change. With a 47-foot head (WF5F) and long back taper, it’s the right choice for rivers and lakes that require medium to long casts and distance mends.
